This entry represents the Myb domain found in telomeric repeat-binding factor 2-interacting protein 1 (TERF2IP) from animals and DNA-binding proteins RAP1 from yeast. These proteins are involved in the regulation of telomere length, clustering and have a specific role in telomere position effect (TPE) [1,2]. This domain binds DNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae [3], but not in animals and Schizosaccharomyces pombe where it may either interact with DNA via an adaptor protein or it may be only involved in protein-protein interactions [4,5].
